Camera Meets Floor
Downtown Seattle Central Public Library
This was, quite literally, taken on the Meeting Room floor. The entire library is an architectural feast for the eyes: this floor in particular is painted this incredible, luscious red from floor to ceiling, with the exception of the back wall (painted fuschia). Light streams through a sort of mesh curtain that looks down upon the main library floor. Once you're inside it's hard not to ooh! and aah! at Rem Koolhaas' marvelous and truly imaginative architecture.
